Peace for Every Child Charity Walk 2018/10/6
World Vision Hong Kong held the “Peace for Every Child Charity Walk” on 6 October in association with the Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club. The event attracted more than 1,000 participants to support Syrian refugees in need. Funds raised this year will provide food assistance and learning opportunities for Syrian families and children.
At this year’s event, multiple interactive activities were added to enhance the public’s understanding of the hardship faced by refugees. Workshops of tent-building, child labour and language-learning were set up for participants to experience the livelihood of refugees. Videos were shown to tell the heartfelt wishes of Syrian children. Participants also stepped into crowded rooms which simulated the scene of tents in most settlement. Handicrafts production was also set on the site.
